Zijing (Jeremy) Zhao 赵子敬


Postgraduate student of Peking University (PKU).

I entered Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies (AAIS), PKU in September 2022 for a master’s degree of Data Science (Computer Science and Technology), supervised by Assistant Prof. Yang Liu at Wangxuan Institite of Computer Technology (WICT), PKU. I’m also a member of Multimedia Information Processing Lab (MIPL), led by Prof. Yuxin Peng.

I obtained B.Eng. degree in School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), Beihang University (also known as Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, BUAA) in July 2021.

My research interests include Computer Vision, Vision-Language Multimodal Learning and Lightweight Models in practical scenarios.

  • Nystromformer-Paddle: Reproducing Nystromformer based on PaddlePaddle [code]
    Reproducing Nystromformer (A Nyström-Based Algorithm for Approximating Self-Attention, AAAI 2021) based on PaddlePaddle.
    This project participated in the 5th PaddlePaddle Paper Reproduction Competition and won the first place at NLP track. It has been merged into PaddleNLP.
    Released on 2022.02, stable release.

  • PaddleFSL: A Python library for few-shot learning (FSL) [code]
    A Python library for few-shot learning (FSL), built upon PaddlePaddle.
    This project is a part of FSL-Mate (a collection of resources for few-shot learning).
    Released on 2021.08, stable release.

  • IndoorRobotSimulation: An indoor robot control simulation system. [code]
    A robot control system based on ROS-Kinetic and a simulation demo based on Gazebo.
    Released on 2020.07, stable release.

Working/Internship Experiences

  • Algorithm Engineering Intern, Technology and Engineering Group (TEG), Tencent

    I built an end-to-end acceleration toolkit based on CUDA and CUBLAS for the inference of Transformer models, including parallelled acceleration for tokenizers and mixed precision of INT8 quantization for Transformers.

    Supervised by Dr. Yaqing Wang and Prof. Dejing Dou. I built PaddleFSL: A Python library for few-shot learning (FSL) based on PaddlePaddle. I also participated in projects on Graph Nerual Networks and Molecular Property Prediction tasks.
